PED 2322 - Aging of the Movement Systems

Credits: 3 hrs
In this course, students will examine the physiological adaptations in the major organ systems that underlie changes in physical function and performance with aging. Special emphasis will be placed on exploring how aging of the neuromuscular system affects activities of daily living such as precision grip, maintenance of a static posture and recovery from large postural perturbations.
