NUR 6310 - Advanced Path physiology

Credits: 3 hrs
This course focuses on the basic physiological concepts (cellular function; genetics; fluid, electrolyte, and acid-base balance; neuroendocrine- immune responses; maintenance of vital functions) and pathophysiological responses to alterations in function across the lifespan. Regulatory and compensatory mechanisms that maintain and restore homeostasis in response to changes in the internal and external environment are explored.
