OCC 5311 - Occupational Therapy in Pediatrics

Credits: 3
This course is designed to provide students with an overview of occupational therapy in pediatrics, including legislative foundations of service provision.  An emphasis is placed on the child and family in their environmental contexts (including culture) and the effect of disability on occupational performance.  Evaluation, intervention planning and implementation, from a variety of theoretical perspectives will be explored. Prerequisite(s): Foundations and Analysis of Occupational Therapy. Musculoskeletal Fundamentals for Occupational Therapy Lab, Neurological Fundamentals for Occupational Therapy.
