Program Mission
The information technology program provides a high quality applications-oriented undergraduate education in computer information technology as a preparation for productive employment or graduate education.
Student Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of the information technology program, students will:
- Exhibit proficiency in the design and development of computer programs and software systems.
- Exhibit proficiency in the application of digital circuits, networking, operating systems and computer architecture principles.
- Exhibit proficiency in the application of computer technologies, procedures, and theories to problem solving and system administration.
- Show evidence of having achieved WSSU Educational Goals.
Graduation Requirements
All information technology majors earn a total of at least 122 semester hours of credit:
