Undergraduate Programs

Freshman and sophomore students, who have completed fewer than sixty (60) semester hours, are classified as pre-majors. A pre-major is a designated pathway for interested undergraduate students to enter a major/degree program. A pre-major also serves as an advising tool that helps departments guide interested students into required preparatory coursework and advise them on any other major requirements.  Acceptance or assignment into a pre-major does not guarantee acceptance into the associated major. To become a full major, students must meet specific progression standards that are defined in the undergraduate catalog.
