BIO 2102 - Principles of Biology II LaboratoryCredits: 1 hr. This is a curriculum course emphasizing basic biological principles, the process of science, using related laboratory activities. It is specifically designed for biology majors and honors students and provides an introductory survey of the diversity of life: prokaryotes, protists, plants, fungi and animals. The structure and function of plants and animals will be covered in more depth. There will be an introduction to ecology and the environment. The course provides the background needed for biology majors as the progress to advanced courses. Prerequisite(s): A grade of C or better in BIO 2101 and BIO 2301. General Education Course that satisfies SLO:Critical Thinking; AK: Natural Sciences Corequisite(s): BIO 2302.
