BIO 2302 - Principles of Biology IICredits: 3 hrs. Biology 2302 is a curriculum course emphasizing basic biological principles. Biology 2302 is specifically designed for biology majors and honors students and provides an introductory survey of the diversity oflife: prokaryotes, protists, plants, fungi and animals. The structure and function of plants and animals will be covered in more depth. There will be an introduction to ecology and the environment. The course provides the background needed for biology majors as they progress to advanced courses. Three hours of lecture and one hour of recitation per week. Prerequisite: Test out of or complete RED 1311. Corequisite: BIO 2102. General Education Course that satisfies SLO:Scientific Literacy; AK: Natural Sciences.
