BIO 3137 - Biomolecules LaboratoryCredits: 1 hr. This course is a bioanalytical course concentrating on the major classes of biological macromolecules. The student will be introduced to a number of technological skills involving spectrophotometric analysis, chromatography, and electrophoresis. These skills will be used to extract, separate, and identify a few of the many carbohydrates, lipids and proteins. Completion of this course will prepare students for Biochemistry Laboratory. Prerequisite(s): A grade of C- or better in BIO 2301, BIO 2302, CHE 2112, CHE 2312, MAT 1313, or permission of instructor. Corequisite(s): BIO 3337
