CLS 3308 - Advanced MicrobiologyCredits: 3 hrs. This course is a continuation of Clinical Microbiology and the emphasis will be on theory and concepts of advanced microbiology. The course is designed to introduce students to special procedures in clinical microbiology and correlate them to normal and disease states. Include is the manipulation and microscopic identification of filamentous fungi and mycobacterium. Additionally the microscopic identification of protazoans, and helminthes will be covered. Prerequisite(s): Admission to the CLS Professional Phase, CLS 3303, CLS Corequisite(s): CLS 3108
