CLS 3400 - Clinical Instrumentation and UrinalysisCredits: 3 hrs This course is designed to examine and correlate some basic principles of physics and chemistry with the basic principles of instrumentation in a clinical laboratory. Topics to be included are: atoms in combination, electricity, optics and properties of matter. This course also provides theories and methods of detecting chemical and cellular elements of urine. (One two-hour lecture, one one-hour lecture, and one three-hour laboratories.) Prerequisite(s): CHE 2411, CHE 2412, CLS 2402, CLS 2403, and acceptance into the professional phase of the CLS program.
