GEO 2311 - Introduction to GeographyCredits: 3 hrs This course introduces the student to the discipline of geography. Emphasis is placed on the spatial distribution of phenomena and on mapwork, which involves, basically, place identification and location. Several aspects of physical geography such as landforms, plate tectonics and agents of erosion are described. Additionally, subdivisions of human geography such as population distribution, cultural geography and human-environment relationships receive attention.
