GER 3314 - Social GerontologyCredits: 3 hrs. This course will explore social constructs that influence identity formation, opportunity structures, social policies, and adaptive resources along a continuum of care for the elderly, through a life course perspective. It will explore diversity in the social and historical contexts, while providing insight into the impacts of gender, race, and social class. Prerequisite(s): SOC 2301. (Cross-listed SOC 3304).
