SOW 3363 - Introduction to Social WorkCredits: 3 hrs This course is designed to introduce students to the field of social work. The course focuses upon the historical, philosophical, theoretical, and professional foundations of Social Work. The purpose of this course is to provide students with an introduction to the social work profession, including social work fields of practice, social service agencies, and levels of social work practice. An examination of direct services (micro level practice) and administration/ planning (macro level practice) will be included in this course. Prerequisite(s): SOC 2301
