BIO 3336 - Developmental BiologyCredits: 3 hrs. This course examines the morphological, molecular and evolutionary aspects of animal development from a comparative perspective. Topics include gametogenesis, fertilization, morphogenesis, pattern formation, cell-cell signals, induction and regulation of gene expression and evolutionary embryology. Current topics such as stem cells and cloning will also be explored. (Three one-hour lectures per week) Prerequisite(s): A grade of “C-” or better in BIO 2301 and BIO 2302
