BIO 3361 - Human PhysiologyCredits: 3 hrs. This course reviews the basic principles of mammalian physiology, including the function and regulation of complex organ systems. Emphases will be placed on normal bodily functions and the characteristic interactions of drugs as tools to diagnose and to define physiological mechanisms and functions. The course will also consider deviations from normal (pathophysiology), where such discussions serve to clarify the basic principles. This will provide a link between the basic sciences and the clinical approach to the study of disease. (Three one-hour lectures per week.) Prerequisite(s): A grade of “C-” or better in BIO 3311.
