CLS 4103 - Molecular Diagnostics Lab This course covers the molecular diagnostic techniques used in clinical and research laboratories. Topics include: nucleic acid extraction and hybridization; target, signal and probe amplification; gene expression analysis and in-situ hybridization techniques, mutation detection, oncology, forensics, paternity testing, transplantation and infectious disease detection. Quality assurance, regulatory, and ethical issues associated with molecular testing are included in the course. Prerequisite(s): Admission to the CLS Professional Phase Corequisite(s): CLS 3301
