LLS 1327 - The Death of the Death PenaltyCredits: 3 hrs. Many of us don’t think about the death penalty and see it as something far removed from ordinary people. In fact, the death penalty should concern every U.S. citizen. In this seminar, we shall examine the evolution of the death penalty in America, from the founding of the Republic to the present. Toward that end, we shall consider arguments for and against the death penalty. We shall conclude the seminar by asking whether the death penalty is still legally necessary and morally justified in today’s America.
