SOC 4317 - Urban Communities

In this course a study is made of community organization from simple, small urban areas to the megalopolis; the role of various agencies and institutions and movements as they bring about change; consideration of various zone theories and certain trends in urbanization; the inner-city and its implications; and urban renewal and redevelopment. Prerequisite(s): SOC 2301 or SOC 2302.
