TRC 0122 - Internship in Therapeutic Recreation

Credits: 12 hrs

Students must serve as interns at an approved therapeutic recreation site under the direct supervision of a nationally certified therapeutic recreation specialist. The experience focuses on direct service provision to consumers of therapeutic recreation/recreation therapy, including leadership, documentation, assessment, program/treatment planning, service provision, and professional interaction. A minimum of 14 weeks on site is required. Prerequisite(s): successful completion of all course work
