ENG 3301 - Introduction to Linguistics Credits: 3 hrs This course is an introduction to linguistics with emphasis on theory, method, and terminology. Language structures, phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantics are examined in relation to historical, descriptive, and generative linguistics. Social uses of language and language variationare also studied. Pre-requisite(s): ENG 2301 and ENG 2302
