GEO 3336 - World Economic Geography Credits: 3 hrs This course analyzes the spatial distribution of economic activities globally. Focus is placed on the activities of humans in their physical and cultural setting. A classification of the economic world into the First and Third Worlds and the economic/sociocultural/ political/environmental variables accounting for the respective stages of development are discussed. The economies of North America, Sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America are emphasized. Note(s): Students may not receive credit for both ECO 3336 and GEO 3336.
