SPA 3312 - Spanish Phonetics Credits: 3 hrs This course systematically introduces the student to the study of Spanish phonology. Phonological theories applied to Spanish will be reviewed. The formal sound system of Spanish will be analyzed based on articulatory and acoustic features. Stress rhythm and international patterns will be highlighted along with dialectal variations.
