HUM 2310 - African-American Culture Credits: 3 hrs This humanities course introduces students to various aspects of the African-American experience, using an interdisciplinary and cross-cultural approach to include history, literature, religion, music, dance and art. Themes will focus on historical and cultural roots in Africa, slavery in America and the rest of the Diaspora, and the post-slavery period up to contemporary times. Note(s): General Education Course that Satisfies SLO: Critical Thinking; AK:Culture and Foreign Language; CT: Diversity Pre-requisite(s): ENG 1301 and 1302.
