PHY 3340 - Computational Physics Credits: 3 hrs This is the junior level course requires proficiency in physics and math concepts. It will give students an introduction to the solution of physics problems using computers. The course presents basic ideas and programming skills of computational physics. Students will learn to use computational tools. techniques and methods and practice writing, compiling and running computer programs as well as data analysis and presentation. Periods Per week: (Three one-hour lecture periods per week) Pre-requisite(s): PHY 1322 or PHY 2332 , and CSC 1311 Student Learning Outcome: Quantitative Literacy, Critical Thinking, Scientific Literacy
