SPE 2310 - Introduction to Exceptional Individuals Credits: 3 hrs This course explores the characteristics of individuals with special needs, with a focus on the historical and the legal aspects. Other topical issues, relative to Special Education, such as: stereotypes and prejudges against individuals with disabilities, recognizing myths and misconceptions of individuals with disabilities, will also be explored. Additionally, students will complete a service-learning project designed to improve the lives of individuals with exceptionalities.
