SPE 3300 - Exceptional Children in the General Education Classroom Credits: 3 hrs. This course explores techniques designed to aid prospective regular and special education teachers in working with children with disabilities who are receiving services in the general education setting. The course covers a range of topics including issues in special education, inclusion, educational assessment, co-teaching, differentiated instruction, characteristics of mainstreamed students, cultural diversity and curricula modifications and adaptations.
