POR 2310 - Brazilian Culture Credits: 3 hrs This course provides an introduction to Afro-Brazilian culture and society. Students will investigate key issues in the history, social life, politics, arts, and religion of African -descended peoples in Brazil through discussion and writing (forum posts/blog) of readings, documentary and feature silms, and developing a fimlography. They are going to identify key issues of Brazilian culture. The course is taught in English, and no prior knowledge of Brazil or Portuguese language is required.
