RHS 3307 - Deaf History and Culture in America Credits: 3 hrs An overview of the experiences faced by people who are deaf and their varying degrees of participation in deaf culture and the deaf community. Social, emotional, vocational, intellectual, and linguistic aspects of deaf culture are explored. Students will demonstrate competency with the historic and current struggles to overcome problems experienced within the deaf culture.
