SPE 5321 - Understanding Students with High Incidence Disabilities Credits: 3 hrs. This course is designed to develop candidates understanding of students referred to as having high-incidence disabilities or mild disabilities. This introductory graduate course will provide a comprehensive overview of students with learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, serious emotional disabilities, and speech/language impairments. Emphasis is placed on the developmental nature of high –incidence disability categories.
