BUA 6345 - Business Law and Ethics: Aiding Managerial Decision Making Credits: 3 hrs This course explores managerial decision-making and professional relationships with an examination of legal liability theories in tort, contract, and product liability as well as in-depth analysis of legal issues related to government oversight of financial relationships, antitrust, and the legal effects of the varying business entities. The course begins with an overview of the legal system and ethical theories in business. This overview course will not create in-depth legal expertise, but recognition of situations with possible legal ramifications that should trigger additional investigation or consultation with legal experts. Students explore ethical implications of legal and economic relationships and regulations as well as their impact upon public policy, the lawmaking process, and managerial decision-making.
This course integrates technology with heavy use of the internet.
