DPT 6201 - Professional Foundations

Credits: 2 hrs
This course provides a framework for the development of professional behaviors and expectations by providing the student with learning experiences concerning concepts related to the history and development of Physical Therapy as a profession. Emphasis will be placed on the historical development of physical therapy practice, development of physical therapy as a profession, concept related to professionalism and professional behaviors including those related to the delivery of culturally competent physical therapy services, legal and ethical standards of practice, and practice related professional interactions. Prerequisite(s): Acceptance to Physical Therapy Program
