CST 5314 - Foundations of Data Analytics

Credits: 3 hrs

This course provides students with the technical, computational and foundation on knowledge-based decision making processes requires in the field of data analytics. Students are introduced to analytics systems using contemporary tools and techniques. The course provides an overview of database management, probablity and statistics, data science tools, and knowlege discovery for decision making. Processes are illustrated by examples of practical applications. A semester project is required involving data management, statistical analysis, use of data analytic software, report writing and a presentation.
