CHE 4243 - Synthetic and Analytical Methods Lab Credits: 2 hrs This senior-level capstone research-based course will provide an engaging opportunity for students to combine all of the skills and techniques they have learned and developed from previous courses with exposure to additional synthetic and instrumental methods. Students will utilize all of the available skills, techniques, and instrumentation to embark on a semester long research project which will include advanced organic and inorganic syntheses, as well as introduce students to the areas of ionic liquids and green chemistry. Each student will present their research findings to the class via an oral presentation, as well as submit a written report detailing their results.
Periods Per week: Two three-hour laboratory periods per week Pre-requisite(s): ‘C–’ or better in CHE 3322 and CHE 2326
