NUR 6301 - Theoretical Basis for Advanced Nursing Practice Credits: 3 hrs This course focuses on theories from behavioral, natural, applied, and nursing sciences with the aim to create the development and application of nursing theory. Holistic concepts of human beings, health, nursing, and environment serve as the foundation for comparing nursing theories. Special emphasis is on identification of frameworks that explore specific care concepts pertinent to cultural diversity, health promotion, and ethical practice for advanced practice nurses.
