BKE 6335 - Language and Literacy in Early Childhood Education Credits: 3 hrs This course is designed to teach graduate students how to recognize and implement appropriate environmental strategies that support early literacy development and appropriate early experiences with books and writing. Emphasis is placed on speaking and listening, as well as reading and writing readiness. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to select, plan, implement, and evaluate appropriate early literacy experiences.
