BUA 6350 - Global Business and Development Credits: 3 hrs This course will discuss modern trade theory and the bases of specialization, and will address the economic and financial environment in which global business operates. Attention will be devoted to issues that affect the workings of a global enterprise such as national differences in economic development, in political, economic and legal systems, and in culture; the global trade and investment environment; the impact of the international monetary system and the foreign exchange markets; financing the global firm; foreign investment decisions; ethics, corporate social responsibility, and sustainability; and the strategic management of international business functions and multinational operations.
