SPA 2321 - Spanish for the Professions I

Credits: 3 hrs

This is the first course in an intermediate-level course sequence in Spanish for the professions. Students will develop oral and written communications skills, as well as knowledge of cultures with particular attention to workplace-related vocabulary, concepts, and situations. The course will be taught at the intermediate or advanced levels depending on students’ status and proficiency. A field experience of at least 10 hours is required in which students observe and interact with organizations in the local Spanish-speaking community. The site will be selected in conjuction with the instruction and the office of career development services.
