NUR 3314 - Clinical Nursing Foundations Credits: 3 hrs This course is an introduction to the role of the professional nurse as a provider of care, coordinator or care, member of the nursing profession, and a member of the interprofessional healthcare team. Course topics include, but are not limited to, fundamental concepts of nursing and interprofessional collaborative practice, prioritization of care, nursing process, clinical judgement, effective communication, medication administration, laboratory and diagnostic tests, and psychomotor skills. Learning experiences emphasize nursing’s distinct perspectives in the provision of nursing care within the healthcare system.
