OCC 6308 - Psychosocial Basis of Occupation Credits: 3 hrs Students will apply theoretical foundations and frames of reference used when working with individuals with diverse psychosocial dysfunctions across the lifespan. Students will demonstrate competencies and critical thinking in evaluating, planning, and implementing intervention. Students will apply individual and group facilitation skills and principles of group dynamics. Includes Level 1 Fieldwork experiences designed to provide opportunities for students to engage in various aspects of the occupational therapy process with a psychosocial emphasis across settings. Course concepts may be integrated through Level 1 Fieldwork instructional methods such as but not limited to standardized patients, faculty practice, site visits, virtual and simulated environments, and other means. Prerequisite(s): Successful completion of firsr semester MS OT Courses:
