MGE 5370 - Early Adolescent LearnersCredits: 3 hrs. This course is designed to develop an understanding of the major concepts, theories, and research related to the intellectual, physical, social, emotional, and moral development of early adolescents. The course also analyzes the role that the classroom, family, peer group, community, and society have on the development of young adolescents. The above knowledge is intended to lay the foundation for teachers of middle and high school students so they may maximize learning opportunities for middle and secondary school-age students. Provisions are made in this course to complete 12 clock hours of field experience.
