REH 6314 - Family Collaboration/InterventionCredits: 3 hrs This is a field-based course devoted to the study of the major principles upon which effective home, school-community relations are based. Students will learn how to identify and plan appropriate interventions for students with disabilities and provide information, skills, and strategies to work with diverse families. The course emphasizes the ways in which families access agencies whose activities may have a beneficial effect upon students as well as the provision of family services through community agencies. Emphasis is placed on working with culturally and linguistically diverse students and their families.
