Social Work

The WSSU Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program will provide you with the all of knowledge and skills you need to help improve the lives individuals, families, organizations, and communities. You will learn to become an independent thinker and creative problem-solver who makes a positive difference in the lives of the people you serve. Armed with a BSW, you can go on to seek licensure to provide direct services or you can work for organizations dedicating to improving social conditions.

The employment rate of social workers is on the rise and is expected to increase by 22 percent—faster than the average for all U.S. occupations (The National Association of Social Workers). If you are interested in helping people succeed in their lives, this program is right for you.
