The financial services minor is designed for non-business majors and business majors who wish to understand basic concepts in finance without undertaking the finance major. It is predominantly aimed at individuals who seek employment in the banking and securities industries and would be relevant to someone who wanted to be a stockbroker or insurance agent.
The minor requires a minimum of 18 SH of specified courses with grades of “C” or better in all of those courses.

ACC 2316 – Principles of Financial Accounting
ECO 2311 – Principles of Macroeconomics
ECO 2312 – Principles of Microeconomics
FIN 3357 – Personal Financial Planning
FIN 3351 – Principles of Financial Management (prereq ACC 2316 and MAT 1312 with a “C” or higher)
FIN 4xxx – Any 4000-level FIN course
