Biology Minor

Program Description

The Biology Minor is designed for students pursuing major degrees outside of the Department of Biological Sciences.  The Biology Minor requires a minimum of 18 SH, with a required grade of “C−” or better in all courses.  Requirements are below.

Required Courses (8 semester hours)

BIO 1313 - General Biology I   /BIO 1113 - General Biology I Laboratory  (GE) (4 SH)  

BIO 1314 - General Biology II   /BIO 1114 - General Biology II Laboratory  (GE) (4 SH)  

Elective Courses (10 semester hours) 

Students must complete the remaining 10 semester hours by taking any 3 biology lectures and 1 lab (2000 level or above).
