MUS 1164 - Steel Band Ensemble

This ensemble focuses on the development of performance skills on various components of a steel drum ensemble and the playing of traditional and non-traditional literature for the ensemble. This group is comprised of music and non-music majors. Prerequisite: Permission of the instructor. Ensembles may be taken at any time and must be related to the area of the student’s performing instrument. Students are encouraged to take at least one ensemble each semester. These courses may be taken by music majors and by non-music majors and may be repeated for credit.
