MUS 2191 - Beginning Jazz Improvisation

Credits: 1 hr
Beginning techniques in jazz improvisation will be studied. This course will involve learning jazz melodies and their chord/scale relatives as well as the study of some of the common melodic/ rhythmic patterns used in jazz. Prerequisite(s): MUS 1201 and MUS 1202 or permission of instructor. (Two hours per week.)
