BIO 4366 - GeneticsCredits: 3 hrs. This course examines basic concepts in classical and molecular genetics. The classical portion covers chromosomes, principles of inheritance, mapping and linkage. The molecular portion covers the structure and function of DNA, the mechanisms of gene expression, and introduces recombinant DNA technology. (Three one-hour lecture periods per week). Prerequisite(s): BIO 2310 with a grade of C or better. Corequisite(s): BIO 4166.
