ACC 3417 - Intermediate Accounting II

Credits: 4 hrs
This is a continuation of Intermediate Accounting I and covers the more complex financial reporting issues not addressed in Intermediate Accounting I. Topics covered include additional valuation issues related to inventories, revenue recognition, investments, deferred taxes, pensions, earnings per share, accounting changes and error analysis, and statement of cash flows. While the course focuses on the recording of transactions and ultimately the preparation of financial statements, it also exposes students to cases and other written assignments that deal with ethics, international accounting, applying professional judgment, and internet research. Prerequisite(s): ACC 3416.
