ENG 3301 - Introduction to LinguisticsCredits: 3 hrs This course is an introduction to the field of linguistics with particular reference to theory, method, and terminology. Language structures, phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantics are examined in relation to historical, descriptive, and generative linguistics, as well as social uses of language and language variation. Prerequisite(s): ENG 2301 and 2302.
