BIO 4147 - Molecular Genetics LaboratoryCredits: 1 hr. This course deals with the application of basic molecular biology techniques and protocols to study and manipulate DNA molecules. The course emphasis is on restriction analysis and mapping of DNA, construction and screening of recombinant plasmids and transformation of bacteria with plasmids, through organized laboratory activities. Each student is expected to actively and consistently take part in all laboratories. Prerequisite(s): A grade of C or better in BIO 3366 and either BIO 4176 or CHE 3346. Corequisite(s): BIO 4347.
